Location of performance: Museum the Paviljoens, Almere, 2003/2004
2 podiums lifted from the ground are in one space. Podium A has a narrow
surface where 2 holes are situated adjacent to one another. Podium B has
a broad surface. A piano is inserted into it.
3 participants: 2 ballerinas and 1 piano player
The ballerinas climb into podium A. The 1st one is positioned with her
body upright and the 2nd one is positioned upside down. They hang in the
holes of the podium. They mirror each other symmetrically. Each
ballerina strikes poses of classical ballet. After approx. 10 minutes
they change places.
The piano player climbs into podium B. He is hanging in the podium. He
plays the Goldberg variation by J.S. Bach.
Duration of act: approx. 20 min., then a pause. Whole duration: 2 hours
